Are you happy with your present kitchen, or could it do with a face lift? Kitchen need to be practical, efficient, and cheerful places to be, and with the ever growing modern technology improving appliances to lessen a homeowners work load , it may be time for you to look into the future and plan a new style kitchen.
Now think of your kitchen as three possible work areas one of the actual preparations of food, one for cooking, and one for storage. To save a lot of foot slog, these three areas needs to be. As close to each area as a point of a triangle: and keep the walking distance down to a minimum. You would be surprised at the amount of work space you could live with, even though on paper it might look small!
It’s not always possible on the pocket to splash out on a completely new kitchen, so let’s imagine you will be using the same cooker point and electrical socket. Remember to mark these on diagrams, too. Your next task is to mark where you want your appliances housed, making sure that they are positioned sensibly and safely especially if they are used regularly. Safety in the kitchen should be always in your thoughts as you plan a new layout; I have recently moved into a new flat and was amazed to find the cooker points rights by the door leading into the hall. Any child or even adult could catch a pan handle when walking by the consequences could be dreadful. If you have similar situation, move the point or least make sure you have a cooker guard always in use.
